Bacon, Eggs and Spirit Stuff

Date: 4.1.06

I had the opportunity to go to a men’s breakfast at Pleasant Valley Church in Ohio to share some testimonies of the amazing things God had been doing. Afterward, I had the opportunity to pray with some of the guys at the breakfast. My friend, Mark DeRoza, and I were praying with a guy who had water on his knee. You could actually feel a sac of water on his kneecap. After a little while, I went to pray with another guy, while Mark continued to pray with the guy with the knee problem. While I was praying with another man, I saw the guy who had the water on the knee walking around, and I heard him saying, “Yeah, it really doesn’t hurt anymore!” Mark told me later that while praying, he started saying, “shrink, shrink, shrink…” –and the water bubble started shrinking. He said he could feel the guy’s jeans reforming to his leg under his hand!

While I was praying with the other guy, Pastor Jim and a couple other guys were praying with another guy who had come up to be prayed with. I’m not exactly sure what was going on with him or what God did, but I noticed some commotion, and they started saying “Praise God!”—after that, the guy left, so I guess God dealt with whatever was wrong.

Then, Mark and I got to pray with a guy named Dennis. Dennis told us that there was something going on with his leg. He said that sometimes, he’d feel a burning pain in his inner thigh. He said he didn’t mean to sound over dramatic but it felt like some kind of tumor or a growth of some sort, and I guess it had started burning while I was speaking. We started to pray about it. After a little while, Mark asked him if anything was going on, and Dennis said that my hand felt extremely hot on his leg. After a few more minutes, he said he felt something moving inside of his leg. Then, he said that the pain was completely gone, and whatever growth was there before wasn’t there anymore! He was real excited and so were we because our God is incredible and so are the things that he does!

The coolest part of the time though was with another guy who had a physical manifestation of a spiritual problem. He preferred that we not share what all was going on, so I won’t write much about it here. I will say that it was truly an incredible experience to actually see someone getting freed from things that the Enemy had been using to keep him from being who God had been calling him to be. It’s awesome when God touches our exterior body, but internal healings and deliverances are so much cooler to me. It’s cool when God fixes the tent, but I think it’s really great when he repairs stuff inside the tent.
