Birth Defect Meet the Jesus Effect
Date: 6.30.06
Brad and me went to a Friday morning breakfast meeting at a truck stop in Ohio. There weren’t as many people there as usual. Four guys were there from Pleasant Valley Church, which is the church that Jim Erb is pastor of. We were sharing some healing testimonies, and one of the guys there, Evan, says “Adam has something wrong with his chest.” As Adam told us more about what was wrong, we found out that the left side of his chest/stomach right under his pectoral muscle was sunken in about an inch. The sunken area was about 2 inches up and down and 5 inches wide. When he’d put his hands on his chest under his pecs with his fingertips touching, his hands were off by about an inch due to the sunken part (his left hand would be below the right). We asked if it hurt him and he said he was kind of used to any pain from it. His friends said you could see his heartbeat when he’d be running (he was a cross-country runner). Adam said that it was a birth defect.
So we prayed for him for a little while, and it was cool because you could see the presence of God on him. He was shaking some. After that, he said it was better than it had been. I felt it, and when I put my hand on his chest, my fingers still ran into the right side of his sternum because it was up higher then the other side. We were praying some for another guy there named Zack because he had dropped a 35lb weight on his toe. He said his toe definitely hurt a lot less afterwards, and he was pushing on Brad’s hand with it much harder than he could a few minutes ago, so that was cool. Then we prayed some more for Adam’s chest. After a little while, he started rubbing the sunken area, and he began laughing out loud. We started laughing some too because obviously something was going on. He grabbed Brad’s hand and put it on the sunken area and both of them said they could feel the muscle and/or bone growing back! We’re not positive what all grew or needed to grow, but the sunken area grew out completely! I felt it again, and it felt exactly like the other side of his chest! It wasn’t even a little bit off! We were all in awe at the amazing God we know! Adam crossed his arms over his chest afterward and said it felt real weird because he was used to the one arm going in.

hmm…I like it when things grow back. Why not.
